How To Finance A Car With Bad Credit

We all know we have a credit score, which is used primarily to tell lenders how creditworthy we are and whether we are likely to repay the loan. The credit score assigned to you is based on factors such as your past payment history and the amount of debt you currently have on credit cards and other loans, such as a mortgage or vehicle loan. But what most people do not understand is that even if your credit score is poor, which is near or below 580, you can still finance a car loan. The only variation in these cases is that you are typically working with a subprime lender who specializes in borrowers who are at a greater risk of defaulting on the loan.

What Is A Subprime Loan?

If you have bad credit and need a car loan, it is essential for you to understand that the terms of your subprime loan will be different from those offered to a person with a higher credit score. Typically, a subprime loan has a significantly higher interest rate to offset the added risk taken by the lender. In addition, many high-risk lenders charge substantial fees to process subprime loans. This allows them to recover some money immediately to offset the potential for late or missed payments or a complete default.

Manufacturing Nissan Models in the U.S.

When you buy a new vehicle, there is quite a process that it undergoes before it can get to you. Nissan U.S.A. manufacturers produce some of the most legendary vehicles in the Nissan line, but there are three facilities in the U.S. that provide a large portion of the Nissan vehicles in the country. Nissan has manufacturing facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee and the third is in Canton, Mississippi.

Our People are Our Product

At Nissan USA, our product is only as good as our people that make it. Their commitment and work ethic provide a high-quality product for our customers. We have hired many employees to join our team without prior training or experience and after we have trained them for the job, they enjoy careers that support their families and the ability to build into their communities. It is our employees that make Nissan vehicles one of the best-selling names in the business.

Our staff enjoy several benefits, like:

  • Competitive pay and benefits.
  • Safe and clean work environments.
  • Supporting families.
  • Community growth and opportunity.
  • Driving Innovation.
  • Factories of the future.
  • Volunteering time and talent.
  • Supporting the missions of community partners.

The Nissan Product

Before any new Nissan vehicle hits the assembly line, Nissan’s New Model Team utilizes 3D technology and Virtual Reality (VR) tools to research and explore the ergonomics of placement of parts during the manufacturing process, using technology to put vehicles together safely and consistently.

Stamping

This next phase takes sheet metal and places it into our stamping press and applies up to 5,400 lbs. of pressure to shape the parts of the vehicle’s chassis. After shaping the pieces, dies are applied like giant cookie cutters to press the forms into their three-dimensional shapes that will create the inside and outside of the vehicle.

Body

When the vehicles hit this stage of the manufacturing process, there are thousands of robots that arc weld the stamped parts together to construct the familiar shape and style of the vehicle. When this process is completed, the body is ready for the paint shop.

Paint

Every vehicle at this stage is a masterpiece waiting for paint. When the body of the vehicle is completed, it receives a bath and a sealant, then the vehicle is electrically charged with the body and paint intact to improve adhesion. The vehicle is sanded and primed before finishing it off with a topcoat of paint to create a lustrous, shiny finish.

Trim and Chassis

This process brings the vehicle to life as hundreds of skilled technicians work together to piece together the components like the dashboard, steering wheel, engine, wheels, tires, electrical components, and more. From there, the final components form its outfit which includes the rear hatch, doors, and hood. These components will have been applied on a separate conveyer belt where they are all installed by skilled technicians.

Quality Assurance

When every vehicle’s assembly is completed and it rolls off the line for the first time, it undergoes a very thorough inspection, covering many points to assess safety, dependability and reliability to promote our customers’ overall satisfaction. Finally, the vehicle is tested on a 1-mile track, before being shipped off to the various dealerships around the country. The overall process for every single vehicle takes about 20 labor intensive hours per vehicle.
